Put the kit into context

Start with the decisions around an ability. Timing and position can matter as much as the button itself, especially when the rest of the team needs to follow.

Guide 1 / Ability decisions

Ana: make the threat commit first

Stay available long enough to make the useful save. Utility needs line of sight too.

Recognise the commitment

A threat becomes easier to answer when it has used the movement or route that brought it to you. With Ana, notice that moment before spending Sleep Dart on an opponent who was not yet a danger.

Turn the result into team time

The team can use a sleeping target in several ways. It may offer a safe reposition, a chance to help someone else or a coordinated follow-up. Ping it, then read which response the team can actually make.

Try one decision

For a few fights, keep the dart connected to a named threat. Review the decision after the exchange instead of judging it only by whether the shot hit.

Guide 2 / Ability decisions

Kiriko: one Suzu, several possible saves

Stay available long enough to make the useful save. Utility needs line of sight too.

Choose the effect worth answering

Protection Suzu is a limited opportunity to change an exchange. Read what is arriving and decide which teammate can use the window, rather than throwing it because several health bars are moving.

Stay part of the next action

Kiriko’s movement can get her to a teammate quickly, but arrival is only half the decision. Look for cover or another friendly position that keeps you useful after the immediate danger passes.

Try one decision

Before a fight, identify a threat you intend to watch. After using protection, look for the action it enabled: reaching cover, finishing a move or surviving an ability.

Guide 3 / Map awareness

Escort: the angle behind the objective

Open a path your team can actually follow. Taking space alone is just a long walk.

Find the angle before you need it

Escort maps give teams several ways to approach a lane. Use a quiet moment to see the cover and high ground around the route, then choose a position you can explain to a teammate.

Keep the approach connected

Taking a flank while the rest of the team respawns can create pressure at the wrong time. Notice when your angle and the main group can affect the same fight.

Try one decision

For the next push, name an approach and an exit. If the team cannot follow the first route, use the second before the attempt becomes a sequence of solo deaths.
